Northern Art Prize Short-list
This is exciting. Joanne Tatham & Tom O’Sullivan, tutors from my undergraduate at Northumbria University, have been short-listed for the 2013 Northern Art Prize.

This is what one of my rooms looked like on the first day of preparation. It’s come a long way since then (hopefully you’ll see just as long if you come along! Haha.) I’ll be giving a full recount the my last days of my undergraduate course on my blog soon.
I’m having a hard time actually believing that my degree show is a week away. It feels like only yesterday it was 2009 and I was applying for my student visa. Anyway, hah.
As an aside, Peel Magazine (whom I shamelessly reblogged this image from) will be coinciding their 4th issue launch with the degree show preview night, so please make sure you pick up a copy while you’re there.

Not sure how many Geordies follow me, but if you’re free this coming Saturday and next and have an extra £30 lying around, I have a few places available for my pinhole workshop.
Build A Pinhole Camera
When: 8th & 15th October, 10am - 4pm
Where: Newcastle University printshop & darkroom (entrance via Hatton Gallery)
How much: £30 (cost covers supplies and equipment)
For ease of simplicity this will be a photographic paper pinhole built from shoeboxes. The first Saturday will be building your cameras whilst the second will be dedicated to developing the resulting images.
There are only three spots left, so if you’re interested please let me know by Thursday. All are welcome!
Filled! :D
